Crimes & Witch-Demeanors isn’t your typical paranormal podcast.  Join your host, Joshua Spellman (an archivist and witch), every Wednesday to discuss ghost stories, historic true crime, legends, and tales of the paranormal through a critical lens!  We put the “ahh!” in bibliography and try and seek out the truth among our favorite tall tales.  Each episode starts with a ghost story or paranormal topic as it’s typically told and then we have a ghoulish gossip sesh where examine historic and archival resources to learn what really happened and read first hand encounters of ghosts, goblins, and ghouls.  We cover everything from local legends, historic true crimes, cryptids, aliens, and anything out of the ordinary — if it’s weird and you want it?  We’ve got it!  Please subscribe on Apple Podcasts or wherever you like to listen and let’s get spooky!

MEET THE HOST:

JOSHUA SPELLMAN, MSLIS

Joshua Spellman is the creator and host of the Crimes & Witch-Demeanors podcast.  He is an archivist and librarian who specializes in digital and special collections, working mainly within museum libraries.  He holds an undergraduate degree in anthropology and a masters degree in information science.  In addition to being a librarian, he owns a small business making crystal jewelry, hand-poured soy candles, and is a practicing elemental witch.  He lives in Buffalo, New York with his cat, Laurel, and dog, Claire.
